Charly V 0.4.3

Charly is a system, which provides access from client computers in a TCP/IP-network to central resources. Currently, access to devices on a GPIB (IEEE488) - Bus and to a ROB3 - Roboter is implemented.

Overview

Installation

• Unzip CharlyXX.zip to a directory.
• Copy (for use of the ROB3-Roboter:) javax.comm.properties to <jdk>/jre/lib/. This step is only necessary, if the access to that path is restricted, since CharlyServer tries to copy the file on loading.

Start

Change your working directory to the charly\bin-directory. Ex.: CD D:\charly\bin

Start charlyServer.bat with the jdk\bin-directory as commandline argument. Ex:

  CharlyServer c:\programme\jdk\bin
